🌈 Happy Pride Month!

Pride is more than a celebration, it’s a reminder of the courage, resilience, and activism that continues to shape our community every day.

As we kick off Pride Month 2026, we remember those who fought for equality, celebrate the changemakers, and commit ourselves to preserving and sharing LGBTQ+ history.

As the first national LGBTQ+ museum in the United States, Stonewall Museum is proud to help ensure our stories remain part of American History.

Because history matters, our voices matter. And Pride is eternal. 🏳️‍🌈

Today is both the first day of PRIDE Month and the first day of the fifth year of our CEO. Both anniversaries are on June 1st.

Both were celebrated this past Saturday, when we held the inaugural STONEWLL HONORS event, celebrating 12 people from across the nation who make our lives better every day.

On June 28th we will celebrate again with the 3rd reenactment of the STONEWALL UPRISING, taking place at Stonewall National Museum, Archives, & Library in Fort Lauderdale, all are welcome.

Again, we will free those being arrested at the Stonewall Inn bar and in so doing we will liberate our community and kindle the flames of freedom.

No one wins every battle, but this global community is going to win the war and when we do every human being, no matter how marginalized they are right now, no matter how angry or fearful they are right now, will be free.
