September is packed with ways to explore, create and discover something new at MODS! 🍂

Here’s what’s happening this month:

▪️Blue Star Families Museums (through Sept. 7) – Active military personnel and their families can enjoy free Museum admission

▪️South Florida Adventure Pass (through Sept. 30) – Make the most of summer with access to participating South Florida attractions

▪️BAMM – Broward Attractions & Museum Month (Sept. 1–30) – Celebrate Museum Month with even more opportunities to explore and discover

▪️Messy Science Weekends (weekends in September) – Dive into slime, hands-on experiments, animal encounters and plenty of messy science fun

▪️Bank of America Museums on Us® (Sept. 5–6) – Bank of America cardholders receive one free general admission during the first full weekend of the month

▪️Beach Cleanup (Sept. 12) – Help care for local ecosystems through a hands-on community cleanup

▪️I AM WILD: A Charley Harper Exhibit (opens Sept. 18) – Step into colorful habitats and interactive experiences inspired by Charley Harper’s iconic artwork

▪️Nickelodeon Worldwide Day of Play with ACM (Sept. 26) – Get moving with a day centered around creativity, play and hands-on fun

▪️Sensory-Friendly Sunday Morning (Sept. 27) – Experience the Museum with adjusted lighting, sound and supportive resources

Pearl season is getting closer… 🍷

On October 23, we’re raising a glass to 30 years of incredible food, world-class wines and spirits and unforgettable memories at MODS’ Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration.

This year’s Pearl Anniversary honors Steve Halmos and Keith Koenig, whose vision helped turn this event into one of South Florida’s favorite culinary traditions.

From the Honoree Pearl Reserve Cocktail Hour and Brews & Bites on 2nd Street to live entertainment and an after party beneath the Great Gravity Clock, there’s a lot to savor. ️

And every sip supports MODS’ access programs, bringing STEM education to children throughout our community.

A magnetic moment at MODS! 🧲🎬

We were thrilled to welcome Mike and Olya Valenta of The Original MAGNA-TILES® to the Museum to experience The Odyssey in stunning IMAX® 15/70mm and see our record-breaking magnet mosaic up close.

On Aug. 1, 2026, the Museum of Discovery and Science and MAGNA-TILES Brand Magnetic Building Sets officially achieved the Guinness World Records title for the largest magnet mosaic.

From record-breaking builds to larger-than-life cinema, it was a memorable day of discovery at MODS! 🖼️
