The new Visitor Center is coming to life! With the floor installed, two walls framed, and the sewer line in place, the structure is on its way to to standing proudly on the site. It’s exciting to see years of planning turn into real progress.
We’re still actively fundraising to bring this project all the way to the finish line. If you’d like to support the Visitor Center, donations can be made at SPVHS.org or at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-the-construction-new-visitor-center-and-restrooms

🌾 What an incredible day at this year’s Heritage Fair!
We were honored to welcome the Shawn Herring Memorial Foundation to the park for the very first time. Several of their members joined us with their amazing teams of horses to work the ground and plant a crop—bringing history to life in the most authentic and meaningful way.
Their skill, dedication, and generosity added something truly special to this year’s event, and our visitors loved seeing horse‑powered fieldwork in action.
We are grateful for the partnership and the spirit they brought to the fair, and we look forward to building on this relationship for many years to come.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day unforgettable! 🌾🦬
