Not even close to done with this one but after taking a long break from painting, it feels so good to get back into it. After Mariela (my childhood best friend) past away, I found it very hard to get back into painting… I went on with life, tried to get everything back to normal but this was the one thing I struggled to get back into… all I could do was look at old photos and songs we used to listen to while I painted tonight but I felt a sense of peace… I know she’s looking down on me and I feel her with me. I love you and miss you. This one’s for you. 🧡
