"Why learn history?" One of the most common questions that historians are asked.... One common response is that informing ourselves of the past helps us to become better citizens. This concept was accepted hundreds of years ago, even by the man who first organized German settlement of Michigan.

"He who has not searched the past has no authority to present proposals for the present or the future." - Wilhelm Loehe

Beginning Thursday, May 28th, our parking lot, along with the neighboring Chamber of Commerce and North side of Bavarian Inn Restaurant will be closed for repaving. Fingers crossed that there is good weather, and the job can be completed in 7-10 days.

There is never a good time to repave a parking lot in downtown Frankenmuth, but we know the crew will work quickly. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience!

This 500 piece puzzle is titled "Frankenmuth, Michigan's Bavarian City" it's date is listed as 1984. The puzzle showcases all the wonderful attributes of the magnificent town of Frankenmuth. The Bavarian Inn, Schuplattern Dancer's (including Mark Nuechterlein, Jerry & Trudy Nuechterlein. A few of the dancers names are not known) Zehnder's Hotel, Maipole, Frankenmuth city seal, Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland, George Keilhofer carving Martin Luther and St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. What a fun puzzle to look back on. 1984 does not seem so long ago!
