Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our NSCDA-KY Kentucky Culture Symposium: Women in the Commonwealth such a success! Thank you to all of our speakers who helped enrich our program and to all of our sponsors and guests.

The Symposium funds go directly into the ARCS preservation fund for Liberty Hall and we are so grateful for all of the support. We are already looking forward to next August so keep an eye out for future announcements!

New book club pick just dropped! This time we’re gonna be reading Lauren Groff’s The Vaster Wilds. Email [email protected] to join!!

Groff’s novel follows a servant girl through the harsh wilderness as she flees a colonial settlement plagued by small pox. With only a few possessions “What she finds in this terra incognita is beyond the limits of her imagination and will bend her belief in everything that her own civilization has taught her.”

The publisher describes The Vaster Wilds as a thrilling adventure and a penetrating fable about trying to find a new way of living in a world succumbing to the churn of colonialism. From the excerpts I’ve read, if you like audiobooks, I would recommend listening to this one!

We will be meeting Wednesday 9/30 on Zoom at 6:00.

We had so much fun yesterday with a group of creative little artists! We created some beautiful watercolor paintings inspired by the works of Frankfort artist, Paul Sawyier. Thank you to everyone who came out and we hope to see you at another Artist for a Day program in the future!
