Liberty Hall Historic Site is a four-acre educational center that was the home of the Browns, one of Kentucky's most important families. The site contains two houses: Liberty Hall (1796) built by John Brown, one of Kentucky's first United States Senators and the Orlando Brown House (1835), designed by Gideon Shryock, and owned by Senator Brown's second son. Libert

y Hall Historic Site grounds include extensive boxwood and perennial gardens, which lead down to the Kentucky River. There is no charge to visit the Liberty Hall gardens. They are open to the public from dawn to dusk.

Liberty Hall Historic Site is closed in observance of Memorial Day. Today we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. As always, thank you to our veterans, active service members, and the families of those who serve.

Thank you to all who attended last night’s Music & Poetry in the Garden! We laughed together, sang along, and at least a few tears were shed. Thanks are also due to Samantha Ratcliffe, Richard Taylor, and the amazing LHHS staff who made this program a success.
