Support Franklin's history while enjoying reciprocal benefits at 1,560 cultural institutions across North America

The Franklin Area Historical Society (FAHS) is pleased to announce the launch of its new Harding Circle Membership, a special membership opportunity that allows individuals and families to support the preservation of Franklin's history while enjoying cultural experiences throughout North America.

For $100 annually, Harding Circle members receive:
• 10% discount on eligible gift-shop purchases
• NARM-reciprocal benefits at participating museums and cultural institutions
• A convenient digital Harding Circle membership card

Through FAHS's membership in the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association, Harding Circle members can enjoy reciprocal benefits at approximately 1,560 participating museums, historic sites, botanical gardens, science centers, children's museums and cultural institutions throughout North America.

Imagine having reciprocal benefits at such renowned institutions as the Dayton Art Institute, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Columbus Museum of Art, Wexner Center for the Arts, National Corvette Museum (KY) and Toledo Museum of Art—to name a few. Benefits are subject to the policies and restrictions of individual participating institutions.

“The Harding Circle allows our members to support the preservation of Franklin's history while opening the door to remarkable museums and cultural experiences throughout North America,” said Ronald Edwards, Membership Secretary of the Franklin Area Historical Society.

Funds generated through Harding Circle memberships will provide additional support for FAHS programs, collections, archives, historic preservation, educational activities and efforts to share Franklin's rich heritage with future generations.

The new digital membership card provides members with a convenient way to carry their membership credentials and identify their eligibility for NARM reciprocal benefits when visiting participating institutions.

The Franklin Area Historical Society invites Franklin residents, alumni, history enthusiasts, families and friends of the community to become Harding Circle members and help preserve Franklin's history for generations to come.

Franklin Area Historical Society is excited to welcome children and families to participate in Our World: Worldwide Day of Play on Saturday, September 26. Join us at the Harding Museum, 302 Park Ave., Franklin, Noon to 5 p.m. for some old-fashioned fun and games. FAHS is one of 150 museums worldwide who are participating.

Our World: Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon’s Our World global initiative to inspire kids and provide them with tools to activate their individual and collective agency.

As part of a network of more than 300 ACM member children’s museums who reach millions of families in North America, and the more than 1,000 museums participating in Museums for All, a national access initiative that ACM manages, Franklin Area Historical Society is a vital collaborator in the Our World: Worldwide Day of Play.

Calling you Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys wannabes! Can you and the other guests solve a whodunit?

Join us on Saturday, Oct. 24, 6 to 8 p.m., for a Murder Mystery.

Preregistration is required. Tickets must be purchased individually so we can contact you personally to provide details about your character. Ages 18+, please. Cost is $25 pp.

Participants are limited to 18. Costumes are encouraged, but not mandatory.

Light refreshments will be served. Registration deadline is October 1.
