Catoctin Orchid Society The Catoctin Orchid Society draws from orchid growers in the region surrounding Frederick, Maryland. There are no meetings in July and August.

The Catoctin Orchid Society was established in 1995, and is dedicated to the exchange of information relating to the culture of all types of orchids for enthusiasts whether they are beginners or veterans. The Catoctin Orchid Society meets at 2:00 PM on the second Sunday of September through November and January through May at the Thurmont Library at 76 E Moser Rd, Thurmont, MD 21788. The library d

oes not promote or endorse the views of the Catoctin Orchid Society or our presenters. The December Christmas party and the June Picnic are held at members' homes. Each meeting has a specific program subject either as a talk or as an audio-visual presentation. In addition members bring plants from their collections for viewing and discussion.
