Yeah, it was cold outside but warm and friendly inside! Several visitors stopped by at our Back to Basics session yesterday. Thanks to several of our members for doing little demos and answering questions!

In January, we'll have our Back to Basics open meeting on Jan. 17 from 130pm to 4pm at the Fremont Area Art Association. Members will bring something to demonstrate about fiber and/or yarn..

You may see spinning, carding, weaving, tatting, knitting, and more! The public is invited.

What a wonderful day! Michelle Widhalm, volunteer at DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge, gave a very good intro to the textiles found in the Bertrand - a boat travelling to Montana that sank in the Missouri in 1865. AND... many artifacts were laid out for all to ooh and aah and "what's that?" and "how did they do that??" over.
