As many of you know this is the last month of operations at Waterworks. The role of gallerist doesn’t fit with my family’s financial plan in this economy. There is no small amount of grief, but there is also hope and excitement for the future. My goal with the gallery was to raise the cultural relevance and create a community hub for the Arts, as well as try and support the local artists I love. Huge thanks and reverence to the longtime roster of creators and the signees under my watch. I wish I could have made yall rich! We were definitely rich in experience, the moments and events in the gallery have shown me what passion and purpose feels like, Shout out to the Island Verse Literary Collective Who is ambition and fire will continue beyond the form of our cocoon. To that end, this Sunday, we are having a farewell, waterworks party beginning at the gallery with a eulogy of sorts, Trinity Althoff will lead us in procession over to the new headquarters of the IVLC where we will celebrate, make merry, and sell drinks to fundraisers for the new Programming headquarters. If you have enjoyed any of the things we have done, come show your support and celebrate with us as we embark on a new chapter… Drinks by blind tiger, bites by Salmonberry catering! The gallery has been blessed, not only with the incredible new art from Glenn and Maria, but also a hefty remodel and re-organization! These two breathed new life into the space and lent their expertise and tireless ambition and I couldn’t be more grateful. So stoked to show you their work tomorrow after we start art walk off over at Angels show!

Huge thank you to for making sure Waterworks has been open for business as well as community, she and helmed the Open Mic and made sure momentum continues. I can’t say enough about how being able to rely on folks who see the vision and believe in Art with a capital A feels. I was welcoming our newest masterpiece, and now that he’s here I’m back and in the gallery this week! Come say hello.

We have a wonderful workshop series coming up at the Mullis center, and later on at Waterworks gallery!
