SoDeVis serves as a resource for both those who are already familiar with art and those for whom art is a new experience. We do that through exhibitions and programs accessible to art lovers of all ages. SoDeVis celebrates diverse cultures and welcomes new and broader constituencies making it a place in which to see and to learn. We strive to stimulate in our visitors a sense of pleasure, pride an
d discovery, which provides aesthetic challenge and leads to a greater cultural awareness and discernment. SoDevis creates educational opportunities and accommodates a wide range of experiences. We educate the artists of the future through our apprenticeships and after school programs. The ultimate aim is to encourage inquiry and to heighten public understanding and appreciation of the visual arts.
