Fritch---The Lake Meredith Aquatic and Wildlife Museum in Fritch is hosting its fourth annual Mock Murder Mystery Event Saturday, March 7 from 7-9 p.m. at the museum under the water-tower in Fritch. This year's mystery features a casino style event with Blackjack and poker tables where guests and suspects alike will intermingle as guests try to figure out who killed the victim. The cast of characters for the event include gamblers, card dealers, casino owners, cocktail waitresses and is intended for an adult audience. Anyone who would like to volunteer to be part of the cast is welcome and will be given a script. Refreshments will be available (no alcohol allowed).
Neta Henderson, the museum's Board President, said that in previous years the mock mystery event found much success. "We always get a good turn out and just a real good time at each of these events," Henderson said.
She also stated that the donations going to the museum, as a result of fundraisers such as the mystery event, are put into a special fund accessible only by the museum's Board of Directors and is intended to help maintain the exhibits housed at the museum. "While the City of Fritch does pay the utilities for the museum, the Board is in control of all donations otherwise collected," Henderson stated. "The museum needs the public's support."
