The Frostproof Historical Museum is run by the members of the Frostproof Historical Society. The Museum contains artifacts, books, photographs and other documents on the history of Frostproof, Polk County, and Florida. It also houses a growing collection of genealogical information for assistance in family research including some audio and videotapes by pioneers. Other hours by appointment. Call m

Membership in the Frostproof Historical Society is open to all who share an interest in the history of the Frostproof area and want to see that history preserved. The Society meets once a year. Dues are:
$20 per year for individuals, Business memberships are also available. Volunteers are needed to staff the Museum during open hours and to help with its maintenance. During the week, we also could use some volunteers to work with the Museum Director in archiving photos, documents and newspaper clippings . Please give us a call!
