Fryeburg Historical Society Presents...

Fryeburg's Wildcat Bank Scandal
Sunday, August 16, 2026 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the
American Legion Hall on Bradley Street.
Uncover the hidden history of the Oxford Bank,
an 1837 counterfeiting scheme passing false
bank notes in the olden days of Wildcat Banking.

Open to the public and no admission is charged.
Donations are welcome!
