RAPiD Genomics

RAPiD Genomics RAPiD GENOMICS offers DNA genotyping and data analysis solutions for applications in the agriculture, forestry and livestock industries.

Why RAPiD Genomics

The obstacles to the wider and faster adoption of genomic technologies to the improvement of crops and livestock is the high cost, low through-put and limited flexibility of genotyping methods. We offer an innovative solution to customers in genetic analysis that rely on a flexible, high-throughput and low-cost methods of genotyping.

RAPiD Genomics is supporting a workshop about phenotype prediction using genomic data. The workshop will be on August 11th, 2014 at the University of Florida, USA. The talks will also be freely transmitted live through the internet. The objective is to present and discuss recent results and theoretical developments of statistical models used to predict complex traits using genomic data. We welcome you to attend four talks that will include results from humans, trees, crops and livestock. More information can be found at: http://ufgi.ufl.edu/seminars-events/genomic-workshop/

Ultra conserved elements (UCEs) are regions of the genomic DNA that are conserved across distant evolutionary taxa. The targeted sequencing of UCEs (and their flanking sequences) is extremely useful in evolutionary and population genetics studies. RAPiD Genomics provides targeted sequencing of UCEs and uses this data to identify genetic markers to be used in downstream applications. Find more information about UCEs in http://ultraconserved.org and more information about RAPiD Genomics in www.rapid-genomics.com
