Because of ALL of YOU 🫵🏻 we were able to raise a little over 22,500.00, making this our Best Year Ever!!! A big shout out to All the people that contributed to make Empty Bowls 2026 a huge success: Nancy Falkner, Beth O’Neil, Natalee Strack, Morgan Rogers, Nicole George, Diana Meisinger, Melissa Prins, Angie Hayes, and Bri Daily -from Daily Bread Home Bakery. THanks 🙏🏻 to all the Artisans that made and donated the bowls : Danny Meisinger, Alex Macias, Brian Horsch, Anne Eggito and a few anonymous donors. Thank All so much for sharing your time, energy, light, and love for such a wonderful cause. I would like to also thank ALL those who came out to the event, and to those who simply made a donation online, “you are ALL such a blessing!”Twelve years ago our daughter Epiphany Meisinger took this on as a community service project that we asked her to do for homeschooling, and it’s been an incredible ride. THank You The HOPE Market for making it so incredibly easy to donate, and for all your organization does for our community.

WHy is it important for us to do our part in our communities, to help support those facing food insecurity? Hunger can profoundly impact family dynamics by increasing stress and tension within the household, as the constant worry about obtaining enough food creates emotional strain for all members. This stress often leads to irritability and conflict, disrupting, harmony, and communication. Additionally, hunger may force, family members, especially children, to assume adult responsibilities or alter traditional roles, which can add to their burden and create imbalance within the family structure. For parents, hunger and related stress can impair patience and emotional availability, affecting their ability to nurture and support their children. On the other hand, children experiencing malnutrition, may face cognitive and emotional challenges that hinder their social interactions and development, further impacting family relationships. Limited access to food can also reduce opportunities for shared activities and bonding, fostering feelings of isolation. Moreover, the physical health problems caused by chronic hunger, place additional caregiving demands on family members, exacerbating existing tensions. Overall, hunger strains the emotional well-being of families, weakening their cohesion and stability, and highlighting the importance of addressing food and security to maintain healthy family dynamics. YOU can do your 🫵🏻 part by helping make our 2026 Empty Bowls event a success. JOin us at Spinning Earth Gallery on Saturday, February 7th from 10-2:30. For a donation of $30 you will receive a handmade bowl, and simple meal of soup and bread. All proceeds go to The HOPE Market. IF you cannot attend please, go the Thehopemarket.org website, tap more, tap Empty Bowls and make a donation. No family in our community should go hungry.

Did you know childhood hunger can have profound and lasting effects on both the body and mind.?! When children don’t receive enough nutritious food, it can lead to stunted growth, a weakened immune system, developmental delays, and an increased risk of chronic illnesses later in life. Beyond physical health, hunger also impacts mental well-being- making it harder to concentrate and learn, lowering self-esteem, and increasing anxiety and stress. These affects can impair cognitive development and shape a child’s future. Ensuring that every child in OUR community has access to proper nutrition, is crucial for their growth, learning, and overall well-being. Let’s raise awareness and support efforts to end childhood hunger in our community. PLease help us by spreading the Empty Bowls 2026 event by word, and on your fb page. WIth a $30 donation you will receive a handmade bowl, and simple meal of homemade soup and bread. All proceeds go to the local food Pantry. IF you can not attend on February 7th from 10-2:30pm at Spinning Earth Gallery, go to The HOPE Market tap on Empty Bowls and make a generous donation!
