Edit: Power is now expected to be restored by 4pm. We will not be able to open today.
The power is currently out at the park, including the museum. Power is projected to be restored by noon. The museum will open as soon as power is restored. Thank you for your patience.
UPDATE 5:50 PM Saturday 8/8/2026: power is back in most of Pine Grove Furnace including campgrounds. (Repairs continue on Old Railroad Bed Road, past Pole Steeple, but we can expect that will be fixed soon.) Pine Grove Road has reopened.
PREVIOUSLY, 10:30 AM Saturday 8/8/2026: Still no grid power in the western portion of Pine Grove Furnace State Park including campgrounds. Pine Grove Rd between the two park lakes is still closed just east of 908 Pine Grove Rd. You may access Fuller Lake from the State Park Office direction, and you can access Laurel Lake from the Rte 34 direction, but cannot drive in between. Also, you may go down Old Railroad Bed Rd to access the Pole Steeple parking lot, but cannot drive past there due to trees/wires down (we don’t know exactly where). The State Park Office will be open until 4 PM today, and also open Sunday 8/9/2026, 8 AM to 4 PM.
PREVIOULY, AS OF 4 PM FRIDAY 8/7/2026
Power is out in the western half of Pine Grove Furnace State Park (Fuller Lake area, and west to Campgrounds) due to a fallen tree that took power lines down onto the roadway. Problem is on Pine Grove Road a bit east from 908 Pine Grove Rd. You cannot drive between the lakes. Power company is aware but not yet on scene at 4 PM.
