Gaylord Area Council for the Arts Gaylord Arts is a community arts organization operating an art center in downtown Gaylord, MI.

Our mission is to nurture and promote a creative community by facilitating, sharing, and encouraging individual expression through the arts. Gaylord Arts is a nonprofit that provides a wide variety of visual and performing arts programs. We have an art gallery and community art center located in downtown Gaylord featuring local and regional arts and crafts. We organize and hold several performing and visual arts events and classes during the year.

Look what else has made the move to our new Gallery at 144 W Main Street. The “Free Little Art Gallery” is now in front of the new Gallery and Crave Restaurant! Crave has kindly donated the space for the Free Art Gallery’s new home, so thanks Crave! And, as the sign say, feel free to “view art, take art, and leave art”. And we’re planning a grand opening, and more info on that in the days too come. Stay tuned!

A reminder to Ga***rd Arts artists:

If you have items in the Nature’s Reflections exhibit, please come to our location at 125 E Main St between 1 and 5, Wednesday-Friday.

If you are bringing in artwork for the Juried Fine Arts exhibit, please bring it to our new location at 144 W Main St between 1 and 5, Wednesday-Friday. Tomorrow, September 1, is the last day to enter this year's Juried Fine Arts exhibit!

Our next Oil Painting with Richard Onica is coming up!

Join us Saturday, May 16 from 10-12pm to learn all about color mixing, value, brush techniques, layering, and composition in this beginner to intermediate oil painting class.

This class is BYO supplies but we do have a limited amount of items for use on a first come first serve basis - just let us know when you register.
