In one week (Tuesday, September 8 ), our 2nd Tuesdays @ Two Series starts up. Join Community Engagement Director of Preservation Partners of the Fox Valley, Al Watts to learn about Colonel George Fabyan.

"Those passing here will please SALUTE THE FLAG," read a sign near a tall flagpole at the Fabyan estate, Riverbank. Though Colonel Fabyan never served, his honorary title reflected intense patriotism.

The program starts at 2 and is $5, or free for Members. Registration is required to guarantee seating, and includes museum admission. Presentations are recorded for viewing on the Members page of our website one week after the presentation.

Visit www.GenevaHistoryMuseum.org or call (630) 232-4951 to register for this event.

The Museum is looking for historic photographs to include in our upcoming exhibition, Geneva at Play! We're searching for images of Geneva-area children and families enjoying some of childhood's most memorable moments, including:
-Tea parties
-Playing with dolls or stuffed animals
-Toy cars and train sets
-LEGO, Tinkertoys, Erector Sets, or other building toys
-Board games, card games, chess, Twister, or other family game nights
-Toy kitchens, Easy-Bake Ovens, wooden blocks, and educational toys
-Playing video games at home or visiting arcades

Selected photographs will be featured as part of the exhibition, helping tell the story of play in Geneva across generations.

If you have photos you'd be willing to share and allow us to scan, we'd love to hear from you!

Please email us at [email protected] or stop by the Museum. Deadline for submissions is November 1.
