Today was our Big Scoop Bingo! The kids had a great time playing for ice cream themed prizes. After a few rounds of Bingo, everyone enjoyed ice cream cones thanks to WIDA.
Everyone was treated to an ice cream certificate from Triple View at the end of the day!

Thanks to the Western Iowa Dairy Alliance, Blue Bunny and Triple View for making today’s event extra awesome!

We have a winner in our noodle guessing contest! Ellis J has won a Casey’s gift card, a pizza nee-doh, and a free personal pan pizza! The number was 218 and Ellis was only five off.

If you entered a guess into the drawing (and had your name on the paper), you can stop by the library! We have a free personal pan certificate for you too!

A new community scavenger hunt has been set up around town to celebrate the Nation’s 250th! You can pick up the clue sheet at the library.

Today, our Story Sprouts group worked on Operation Pollination with the Little Rock Honey Company! Miss Amy and Miss Emma came to teach the kids all about bees! They learned about the differences between bees, what beekeepers wear, and how bees move pollen. Then they got to enjoy a honey themed snack - honey, raspberry honey jam, graham crackers and Teddy grahams. Then they did crafts and a pollen transfer game. So much learning today! A HUGE Thanks to Amy and Emma for coming!

We are excited to share a couple upcoming programs, geared to help us Celebrate America's 250th!

June 29 - We will be hosting a come and go "Make Your Own BBQ Rub" event. This will be perfect for kids to make mixes for their parents or adults to up their grilling game. Thanks to Shari in Boyden for letting us "steal" your idea!!

July 6 - We will be hosting a "Snackin' Through the States" event. Kids will be trying snacks and drinks deemed favorites from around the country.

Both programs are limited in space - be sure to let us know if you want to attend. Kids under 8 should be accompanied by an adult for the BBQ Rub event and kids under 6 should be accompanied by an adult for the Snacks event.
