GHS will be closed on Saturday February 1st to allow our volunteers to attend the Patten Town History series.

Our own Lauren Bray will be presenting "Josephine Newman: The Woman and her Sanctuary" During her long life in Georgetown, Josephine Newman shared her deep knowledge and love of the Maine landscape and preserved her land for us to enjoy ever since. Learn about the woman who gave us this legacy of a 100+ acre sanctuary. Presented by Lauren Bray of Georgetown.

Registration is required to attend in person due to space constraints and the presentation will be aired live on Patten's YouTube channel. More information can be found at https://patten-lib.libcal.com/event/13831641?hs=a.

Shettleworth, Jr. to present his research on Bath, Maine's very own 19th century ship carvers, including Freeman Morse, Charles A.L. Sampson (also well known as the husband of Sarah Sampson), and William Southworth.

Mark your calendar and plan to join us on Saturday, April 27th at 10:30am at the Patten Free Library Community Room!
