The Georgetown Historical Society is a 501c3 non-profit corporation that was established in 1962 for the purpose of collecting, preserving, and displaying significant antiques and artifacts pertaining to Georgetown’s histor

y. The Society is run by an enthusiastic group of volunteers dedicated to preserving and promoting Georgetown’s history for people of all ages to learn from and enjoy. GHS researchers are available to answer questions and offer assistance to those wishing to learn more about local history, genealogy, and historic properties. In addition to guided tours (by appointment) of the Brocklebank Museum at 108 East Main Street, the Society offers historical talks, occasional cemetery tours, and other special events throughout the year.
