Living in Visit Georgetown, Colorado has given me the great opportunity to photograph many of the Georgetown Loop Railroad's engines over the year. Now that the train has reopened for the season, I thought I would share one of my favorites of the 111 steam engine. I call this one "Making the Grade".

“Quilt of Gold.” Some pieces carry more than beauty, they carry stories. This 20” x 60” photograph first left Grizzly Creek Gallery as a gift from a daughter to her mother. It hung in her home for years. Now, after a move and downsize to New York, it has found its way back to us.
This float-mounted piece has two small scratches along the black-rimmed edge, small signs it has been lived with and loved. Now offered at $400, it's ready for its next chapter. With glowing yellow aspens set against a snowy mountain backdrop, it brings warmth, light, and that beautiful contrast of crisp alpine air and rich autumn color to any space.
