A new addition to the Museum is the Sword of Captain John C. Johnson Co K 149th Pa.
Johnson captured at the entrance of the seminary July 1, 1863 Gettysburg. The sword would have been surrendered to a confederate.
The sword remained lost until surfacing at a Florida auction sometime 1986-88 purchased by Don Ball. Then brought to a Gettysburg show specifically for the previous owner. I first seen & held the sword
at the owners home later 1990’s & expressed an interest. The owner said when he decided to part with it he would let me know. After cherishing the sword for 32-33yrs. It is now back in Gettysburg.

Next weekend August 3rd & 4th 2019 is the Annual Bucktail Reunion being held at Myerstown, Lebanon County. Address 450 South College st.

The Ronn Palm Museum will be Closed Saturday August 3rd, reopens 4th.
I will be exhibiting original images & memorabilia of Co. C 149th Pa. Vols. in the 1850 Isaac Meier Homestead set in a beautiful Park.

The Reunion is free all public is invited, there is a daylong Saturday program of events and speakers 9-5.
Sunday 9-12 includes closing ceremonies at the Cemetery Honoring 39 of the Men of Co. C 149th Pa. that are buried there.

Saturday morning May 18th traveling to Myerstown Pa. the Location of this years annual Bucktail Reunion, being held August 2-4. I’ll be joined by Matt Herring & Mike Parana visiting the Meier Homestead & Cemeteries where a number of the Co. C 149th Pa. Boys are buried. I’ll be exhibiting in Meiers Home August 3rd original images & Memorabilia of the Bucktails. Mike & I will talking to Decendants & visitors that day.
I Should return to open the Museum by 2pm
