Had some fun with AI-blending a couple of our photos (first time!).
Yes, it's true - I just discovered that the National Archives has digital copies of USS Cumberland's plans! 😺 I will be re-measuring and recalculating everything to see what adjustments I need to make on the hull. We're not "past the point of no return" on the hull, so we should be fine, but yes, I'm feeling a mix of emotions right now 🤣 I wonder if they were only recently added online, or if I plain missed them two years ago? 🤔

The Snowball Battle

A “new old” diorama is at Civil War Tails! The Snowball Battle came on display on March 16, but its story reaches back to the very early days of our clay Civil War cats. would like to apologize for the misunderstanding. When the Civil War Cats asked for a forecast, he thought they meant INSIDE the museum instead of OUTSIDE. Knowing that Gen. Cleburne's cats were revamping their Snowball Battle diorama for display, Charlie thought an extra 6 weeks of snow would be desirable. Imagine his surprise when 9,792 cats (all but him and the Snowball Battle) got mad at him for "scaring away folks with your lousy winter weather forecast"! 🙀 Well, here we are at exactly 6 weeks after his announcement, and the Snowball Battle is on display at 😺 Come visit us and check it out!
