Here's our model of the Yuma Valley Railway No. 3 and the Yuma Valley Railway No. 2921 "Fugitive Snowbird!" The HO Scale model diesel-electric locomotive was customized to resemble the actual Yuma Valley Railway No. 3, a 1943-built General Electric 44-ton Diesel-electric Locomotive, that operated on the Yuma Valley Railway tourist train from Yuma, Arizona, to Gadsden, Arizona, from 1988 to 2005. The HO Scale locomotive was purchased at the Swap Meet during 2019 NMRA Pacific Southwest Regional Convention in Mesa, Arizona. The HO Scale passenger car behind the locomotive is based on the actual Yuma Valley Railway No. 2921 "Fugitive Snowbird," a Pullman Commuter Car built for the Long Island Railroad in 1950. The HO Scale passenger car was purchased at a Goodwill in Mesa, Arizona, a while back.
