We hope to see you at the March general membership meeting and presentation! The event is free to you, but please let us know if you are attending by going to the link and registering.

We meet at Bidwell Forum, 140 S. Glendora Ave. at 6:30. After some Society business, the presentation will begin around 7pm. Social starts at 6:30.

When Altadena: Between Wilderness and City appeared in 2004, State Librarian and noted historian Kevin Starr called it “urban history at its best,” the book won recognition from the Association of State and Local History, and Zack won the prestigious Pfleuger award for best history writing. At our March meeting, Zack will tell the story of Altadena, (with updates) and how, in the aftermath of fire, the Altadena Historical Society has issued a 2025 commemorative edition with enhanced images and new ones. Zack has been on the forefront of rebuilding Altadena, and is working with the LA Conservancy to ensure Altadena’s historical legacy is preserved.
