Warren County Artist Lynn Shanks is a 2026 Community Art Grant recipient. She is working in a new series and said "This generous LARAC grant allows me to focus fully on developing a body of work that exposes the painful reality of Lyme disease, an epidemic that affects far too many people in this region (including me). The funding has given me the economic freedom to create work that is raw and honest, on a scale that will have a meaningful impact. I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity to give a voice to those who suffer quietly with tick-borne illness, and to raise awareness in what is hopefully a unique and memorable way."
