The museum is open for any family or class reunions that request it be open.

This museum has a variety of exhibits depicting Glidden’s history of it’s residents, businesses, churches, and organizations, as well as the surrounding area townships.

Thank you Al Thorp, Justin Stoiber, and Stewart for all your help in moving the final sign for the gym display up to the museum. Thanks, also, to Dave BeBeau and Will Hill for you help. Thanks to Jill Crom for the yearbooks and excellent pictures. They are very nice. We are still looking for 1977 and 1985 yearbooks. If you have any Glidden memorabilia, pictures, items to donate, please contact Pam Borman @ 715-264-6950.

Keep May 15th next year in mind. We will need some help with mural repairs. Our next meeting will be in March of next year.

Thank you JB for the owners manuals for the display we are working on. They are appreciated. We are still looking for 1977 and 1985 yearbooks for two alumni. If you have items to donate, please contact Pam Borman @ 715-264-6950. We are looking for pictures, articles, family tree/histories, stories, etc.

Keep us in mind for help with the mural problem we have. We have set a date of Saturday May 15th to work on them, weather permitting. If you want to donate your time or materials, it would be greatly appreciated. We will provide pizza and pop for the helpers. Our next meeting will be in March to firm up plans for the project.

The class of 1981 enjoyed some time at the museum before their reunion. We are looking for a 1977 and 1985 yearbook for two alumni. If you have either one to donate, please contact Pam Borman @ 715-264-6950. Thanks to Barb Pankratz for the nice donation for one of our newer displays. It is much appreciated.

Keep us in mind next May as we will need some help with a problem we are having with the mural. We will firm up the date next spring. We are working on organizing displays while it is still warm enough. Our next meeting is Wednesday October 7th at 5 pm.

Thank you Carol Pearson for the picture of the Mellen Granite Digger. It is very nice. Thank you Betty White for helping to sort out papers. It is much appreciated. Thank you Jerry Kempf for the donation from JB.

We are organizing displays to make room for the donations that are coming in. Check out the Black Bear sign that is on the outside of the building towards the merry go round. Thanks Don for the help. There is lots to do before it gets too cold.

Keep us in mind for next May. We have a bigger project to do and will need some help. Our next meeting is Wednesday October 7th @ 5pm at the museum.

Thank you Terry Lenz for donating Choppy’s 1976 Centennial shirt. It is an excellent donation. Chop wore it every 4th of July for decades. Yes, he fit in to it for all those years. There might be two more shirts coming, as well. There are still sesquicentennial shirts available at the Enterprise if you want one. Thank you Bob Westphal for the very nice shadow box commemorating Bernie Peterhansel. It will be a nice addition to the military display.

We will be open for the Class of 1981 reunion at 1 pm on September 26th. If you would like to visit the museum that day, please come on up. If you have an event and would like the museum open to enjoy, please contact Pam Borman @ 715-264-6950. We would be happy to open up for you.

We are still looking for a picture of the Mellen Granite Diggers disc that hung in the gym back in the day. If you have one to donate, please contact Pam Borman. A paper copy is fine. Our next meeting will be Wednesday October 7th at 5 pm at the museum.

Thank you Rena for all the help at the Vintage Raffle. It was much appreciated. Thank you to Tom Fahrbach’s family for the hats. They will make a nice display. Thank you to Carol Radloff for donating the 1976 Community Chorus Songbook. Yay. There are some nice donations coming in to the museum that will make nice displays. Come check them out next year.

Do you have a 1977 or 1985 yearbook? We have two alumni that are looking for one. If you do, please contact Pam Borman @ 715-264-6950. Thank you Marge Bernhoft for the laminated newspaper articles about Dr Enzinger. Very interesting. Thank you Laurie Schuelke for the Auxiliary Fire Dept shirts and cookbook. They are a nice addition to the museum. Our next meeting is Wednesday September 16 @ 5pm at the museum.

Thank you to Tom Dezotell for the fishing tackle donation and to Alice Schuleke for the excellent military uniform and write up. They are much appreciated. We are looking for a good picture of the Mellen Granite Digger disc from the gym so we can make one to put in the display. If you have one, contact Pam Borman @ 715-264-6950.

We will be putting up two more displays this month. We are looking for memorabilia from Black Bear Forest Products. If you have any to donate, we would greatly appreciate it. Our next meeting is Wednesday September 16 @ 5 pm at the museum.

Thank you to Dan Roe for getting us the computer we needed. Thank you to Jean Heinlein for donating the yearbooks, especially the 1964 yearbook for the alumni that wanted one. You both rock. Thank you.

Come join us at the fair. We will be having our vintage raffle in the Pavilion on Sunday. We will be right next to the Laurie Jean Zach center table. Come check out the variety of prizes you could win.

We will be open 12-5 each day. If you would like to help greet visitors, stop in or contact Pam Borman @ 715-264-6950. We have rearranging displays and organizing things at the museum. There is lots to see.

Do you have a good picture of the Mellen Granite Digger circle that was in the large gym? We would like to make a replacement for the one that is missing from our display. Please contact Pam Borman @ 715-264-6950 if you have a picture of it.

We are looking for a 1964 yearbook for a Glidden alumni. If you have one to donate please contact Pam. If you would like to join us at the Fair in the museum, we would love the company. We could use a few volunteers to talk to visitors, sit at the desk and answer questions, or just hang out. It is always interesting to hear the stories people like to share when at the museum.

Keep us in mind if you have family photos, Glidden area memorabilia from events, fairs, businesses, homes, churches, organizations, etc. if you have any items you would like to donate to the museum or just share them over the fair, we would love to have them here. If you are doing any cleaning out of attics, barns, basements,etc and come across Glidden memorabilia, keep us in mind. We would love to have donations for our museum. If you are not sure it is an item we could use, call Pam Borman @ 715-264-6950.
