For weeks, the walls of York and Main gallery in Gloucester held images he made here of life along rural coastal Virginia — the beautiful and the gritty, the hard and the soft, the watermen and the waterlines that make this place ours.

And you showed up. You looked. You bought.

Every sale from this show was earmarked for Knott Alone-HOLD FAST, a nonprofit that has our whole hearts. Founded by a soldier and loved by so many more, Hold Fast brings veterans carrying the weight of service, war, and deployments onto the healing waters of the Chesapeake Bay.

It's therapy. It's community. It saves lives.

And thanks to all of you — photo by photo, sale by sale — we get to help with that.

To York and Main, thank you for opening your doors and your walls. To this community, thank you for proving once again that around here, we take care of our own.

Lift each other up, y'all. It's what we were put on earth to do.
