📚🦖 DinoSOAR Into Stories with Jefferson County Public Library this summer!

We're thrilled to partner with Jefferson County Public Library for their 2026 Summer Reading Program, DinoSOAR Into Stories! From June 1–July 31, readers of all ages can log their reading, earn prizes, and discover exciting events all summer long.

As part of this year's program, the Mines Museum is providing free labeled rock specimens as registration prizes for kids, teens, and adults participating in Summer Reading. It's a fun way to spark curiosity about geology, minerals, and the incredible Earth beneath our feet!

Right now, our amazing volunteers are hard at work packaging 15,000 rocks for the Jefferson County Public Library Summer Challenge, and we couldn’t do it without them. Their time, energy, and dedication are helping bring hands-on geology to our community in a huge way. Thank you to every volunteer making this possible! 💙
