Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting Leon’s 4th Birthday Party at the South Coast Railroad Museum! 🚂🎂 With the All Aboard Station as the perfect party spot, family and friends celebrated with joy, a fun bounce house, and all the charm of the historic Goleta Depot.

🎈 Happy Birthday, Leon! 🎈 We loved being part of your special day!

Did you know you can host your own celebration at the Museum? Whether it’s a birthday party, a family picnic, or a club meeting, our event rentals are a great way to make memories while supporting the Museum! 🌟

The Goleta Depot

Built in 1901 to serve the growing Goleta agricultural region, the Goleta Depot served as the transportation hub and center of the community. By 1973, when Southern Pacific Railroad closed the Depot, Goleta had grown to a small city and the Depot was largely forgotten. Saved from destruction in 1981, by an historically minded group and joined by numerous citizens of the Goleta community, the Depot was moved to Los Carneros Park. Over the years the Depot watched over the growth of the South Coast Railroad Museum as the musem grew to include a miniature train, a caboose, and a visitor center. Yearly celebrations like Steamin Summer, Railroad Days, Depot Day and Candy Cane Train entertained thousands of families. Now we are looking ahead and would love for you to be a part of that future. Come get reacquainted with the Historic Goleta Depot.
