Just a quick sneak peek of our newest exhibit at the museum. Opening date-June 4, 1-4pm and Sunday June 7, 1-4pm.

The Goodhue History Museum crew has been busy, moving displays, building lofts and reorganizing. We can’t wait to see you soon.
Opening day June 4th from 1-4 and again on June 7.

Goodhue Area Historical Society Secretary Barb Augustine is next to a printing press donated by Lodermeier’s Inc. The press was used by L.E. Cook, who purchased the Goodhue Enterprise in October 1925. In his first issue on October 19, Cook wrote that he has some doubts about his new location when he approached the town and read the sign, “Goodhue Welcomes You,” near the cemetery. Cook later changed the name of the paper to the Goodhue County Tribune. Throw back pic—snowstorm 1969, Holm’s Brothers added a refrigerator box for a cab as he plowed out 240th Avenue just north of #9.
