I went plein air painting, near Lymington, UK with the talented .beckett. The winds were strong and we had to set up with a hedgerow windbreaker but it was super fun and the temps warmer than in the last many days. Wonderful day out and discovered a new painting spot too.

A view from Queen Anne’s Garden at Stirling Castle, Scotland I’m annual plein air art trip. We travel abroad each May to explore new locations and through art experience the detail in architecture or whatever we choose to paint. Art encourages one to stop and really ‘see’ our surroundings in detail. We then interact and interpret the world on canvas or paper.

Day out in Boston, the magnolia blooms were abundant, I played with my oils, rode bikes along the Charles, and got to hang out with & and friends at JWReilly’s pop up Art & Silver Exhibition. Arlington Church right beside Boston Public Gardens. 15th-20th April, 2026

Myan the gray! Yes similar to Gandolph in that he transformed and had many miraculous recoveries through his life. He finally did cross over that rainbow bridge but he lived to a ripe age and will live on in my memory and in this little painting. It’s an oil on panel, 4x4” www.heidilorenz.art
