Hello friends, From the North Pocono Community Historical Museum. After our meeting with Covington Twp Supervisors for the use of the Caretakers Historical Home on the Moffat Estate, they are requesting a list of supporters of our museum. We are asking anyone who is interested in having something like this in our community to write a letter of support. Your letter can either be e-mailed to [email protected]

Hunter Night Out Dinner -
April 7th 2018 - Maple Lake United Methodist Church Box 632 Rte 690 - Spring Brook Twp will be having a Roast Beef dinner with all the trimmings - Guest Speaker Sue Gallagher Carbon Cty Wildlife Representative will be talking on Birds Of Prey. Dinner is $15.00 for Adults and $7.50 for children 6 to 11. Children younger FREE. Great DOOR PRIZES. Door open at 5 with dinner doors open at 5:30. Come and enjoy a great night out.

Okay my FB Friends, looking for public input on a idea I am working on. It is kinda long but would really appreciate a input.

I would like to open a North Pocono Community Historical Museum.
I feel it would be beneficial for the whole North Pocono Area. We will have a Study/Research area for not only our students but also for the public to learn about our amazing area. As for funding, with grants and our community and corporate donations we can fund this museum.
I have spoken with Yvette Wentland of the Moffat Trust who agrees with the idea
After speaking Gerard M Hetman, of Lackawanna County Community Relations Coordinator, he expressed a great interest in helping with this idea.
I have spoken with State Representative Mike Carrol who loves the idea and would help in any way he could.
The State and County also have programs to help. There are also several Grants available from Angel Investors and other non-profit organizations. We will also ask local business and public for donations along with different fundraising events throughout the year. We would be pleased to work with the Recreation Committee, North Pocono Rotary, North Pocono Historical Society, North Pocono Cultural Society, North Pocono Library and any other organizations who would like to be involved. We will be enlisting the help from volunteers from our students, intern prospects and any individuals who would like to help.
So I am asking to see if there would be a interest for now and years to come and if the community would help sponsor a idea like this?t really related to Flea Market or Craft Fair but trying to get this info out as much as possible.

Hello Everyone. Happy New Year! Sorry it has been a while since I have posted any updates but I have some good news!!! I received tentative approval for use of the Moffat Caretakers House for the Museum!!! I will be planing a meeting soon to set up a Board of Directors and memberships. I am looking forward to working with everyone for this awesome and well needed Museum. Please tag anyone who may be interested!!!
