I have nearly two decades of experience selling online, during which free shipping has been emphasized for better visibility. This has posed so many challenges, especially as shipping costs continue to rise. After a two-month absence, I found the cost for shipping a small child’s apron increased from $5 to nearly $9 (which I felt was already crazy). To adapt, I will only offer free shipping on orders over $35.
My goal is not to complain to you, but to seek continued support for small businesses without expecting free shipping, as this model is unsustainable. We need to reinforce the Amazon model is not a good one.
