I feel that it is time to explain my absences which will happen periodically over the next few weeks. While being diagnosed and treated for an arthritic condition, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a treatable cancer. I am receiving excellent medical qqtreatment in Denver and continuing to “paint” in my mind. I have even sold pieces during my “painting holiday?” So, my friends please continue to share all of your both finished pieces, creations in progress, in prayers, stories, thoughts, and insights. There is no scale for friendship at this time. Amen

“L’espoir” was “reborn” yesterday! She is based on sketches I did in San Miguel de Allende, MX in a grave yard in the rain 10 years ago. I decided to update the image to match the concern of these pandemic times. So, in a frenzy of painting, “L’espoir,” to be taken as meaning hopefulness, not just hope, finalized very rapidly for me, yesterday. I am uploading, painting 10 “L’espoir” and painting 1 “The Weeping Virgin.” If you wish, let me know which image means hopefulness and briefly, why. Enjoy!

Feeling somewhat helpless in ways to help with the pandemic (at my age, etc.), I finished these paintings, “Baby Buzzard (maybe vulture)” and “Covid Doula.” Perhaps they will scare the virus to inactive status! Enjoy if you can. Probably I should redo with masks.
