🐇✨ New work just arrived at Angelwood Gallery!

Julie has created the very first piece in a brand-new horsehair/raku series titled “horse hare”— and it’s such a fun one to see in person! This unique ceramic piece was post fired to around 800° and using real horsetail hair, which is applied directly to the hot clay, it permanently bonds to the surface, creating beautiful organic markings and movement. Please note, due to the firing process, these type of pieces are not watertight/for food but you can easily slide in a glass jar to use for flowers!

To finish it off? An adorable little metal hare adorns the piece perfectly. 🐰

This is the FIRST one in the series, so you could be the very first owner of this new body of work!

It’s a beautiful week to hop on down to Grand Rapids, Ohio and explore what’s new around town! While you’re here, enjoy renting a kayak, visiting stores and restaurants, ice cream, coffee, the historic mill, the canal boat ride across the river, and don’t forget a peaceful walk along the towpath just across from the gallery — always full of wildlife and beautiful scenery. 🌿☀️

As we enjoy this Memorial Day weekend with family and friends, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who sacrificed so much for our freedom — and we extend heartfelt gratitude to all who have served our country. ❤️🤍💙

It’s also a wonderful weekend to slow down, spend time together, and explore beautiful downtown Grand Rapids! Take a stroll along the river, visit the local shops, enjoy great food, and make some special memories. There are services in our downtown honoring our veterans (see photo below for details).

🍫 It’s Chocolate Walk Day in Grand Rapids! 🍫

We’re excited to be one of the stops on today’s walk at Angelwood Gallery! Ticket holders will also get an extra sweet treat from us 💝 plus we donated a special item to the gift basket raffle included with your ticket!

The Chocolate Walk runs from 11 AM–4 PM. When you arrive, pick up your bag/ticket outside Huntington Bank. See our photos below!

Voices of Harmony performance Saturday night at our late 1800’s theater in our town hall (tickets still available or buy at the door).
