Grantsburg Area Historical Society

Grantsburg Area Historical Society Our goal is to Preserve our History of the whole surrounding area's and of Grantsburg. Once History is Forgotten, it is LOST.

The Grantsburg Area Historical Museum grounds include three historic 19th-century structures. Visitors can tour an early Burnett County jail and the village blacksmith's house. An 1897 built Norwegian Methodist church houses exhibits that celebrate the local history. We also have a one room School as it was back in the day.

Come to Emma's Christmas Saturday and Sunday! The shelves are filled with sweets like Krumkake, Rosettes, fudge, spritz cookies, and so much more made by the Grantsburg Area Historical Society elves! Kris is cooking up her fabulous Swedish meatball soup and there's free cider, too. Emma's House will be open for visitors to check out all the festive vintage and Scandinavian decorations but due to the colder temps the baked treats, cider, and soup will all be for sale at the museum. Hope to see you there!

Christmas is coming to Emma's House again on Dec. 6 and 7!
