This time of year I produce a lot of milliefiori canes, also called murrine, in my glass shop. I really enjoy the process, it takes a lot of skill and timing to make the material and then bringing it together in a painter, leeway to decorate my blown glass vessels. I learn a lot every time, sometimes I make old mistakes, sometimes I learn new tricks. It takes a lot of input, but it’s worth it to me.

When I feel overwhelmed by my burdens, I look at this picture and it reminds me that we all have burdens, but that some are self imposed, and others are thrust upon us. Either way we can do what is right. So when we have a chance to do good, we should do good.
