Robbins Hunter Museum The Robbins Hunter Museum and Gardens seeks to perpetuate its facility and collections and to educate and unite the community. The only monument in the U.S.

OPEN Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 1-4pm - Message us for a scheduled tour on Thursdays The museum is meticulously restored and furnished with 19th century decorative arts. The collection includes exceptional examples of early chandeliers and clocks, especially pieces from Ohio. to Victoria Woodhull is located on the west wall of the museum. Woodhull, born in Homer, Ohio, was the first woman to own a newspaper, own a stock brokerage, to address Congress, and to run for President of the United States in 1872. The museum hosts Victorian tea parties, lectures, special exhibits, and community events.

Alfie’s is looking bright and beautiful!

Crews are painting Just Write today and also prepping our 1842 historic beauty for her facelift, with fresh paint coming to the museum’s west side.

We can’t say enough about how wonderful R.A. Long Painting has been in helping us prepare for this project. Their generosity and willingness to go the extra mile are making a real difference for the museum. Along with Sherwin-Williams, they’re donating the paint. We are grateful to have partners who care about preserving this Granville treasure!

This is an exciting step as we continue talking with contractors about plans to restore the museum. Want to help support the work ahead? Consider a donation to our Restoration Fund to help preserve this historic house for generations to come.

We had a wonderful turnout at this year’s Scarecrow Invasion! It’s always such a joy to see the creativity, imagination, and hard work the Welsh Hills students put into each and every scarecrow. We are so grateful to have these amazing creations at the museum each fall!

Haven’t seen them yet? There’s still time! Come visit the Robbins Hunter Museum and enjoy the scarecrows on our lawn throughout the month of October.

A fresh start for this 1842 beauty!

The crew from R.A. Long Painting is pressure washing and cleaning today, with wood repairs and the museum’s first fresh paint in years coming next week.

We’re excited to partner with R.A. Long Painting and see the work begin. We look forward to sharing more about our plans to restore this historic house!

We recently enjoyed a special visit from Grace Duffy, a cousin of Robbins Hunter Jr.!

It was a pleasure to show her around the museum and hear her fascinating presentation on the family’s genealogy.

Grace loved seeing and posing with portraits of her relatives, exploring items Robbins collected, and visiting the Octagon Room, which Robbins added to the house in 1973.
