Robbins Hunter Museum 1842 Greek Revival Mansion/ Victoria Woodhull Clock Tower/Event Space/Jill Griesse Historic Garden/Knobel Folly
OPEN Wednesday - Saturday 1-4pm, May 8-December

The Robbins Hunter Museum and Gardens seeks to perpetuate its facility and collections and to educate and unite the community. The museum is meticulously restored and furnished with 19th century decorative arts. The collection includes exceptional examples of early chandeliers and clocks, especially pieces from Ohio. The only monument in the U.S. to Victoria Woodhull is located on the west wall of

the museum. Woodhull, born in Homer, Ohio, was the first woman to own a newspaper, own a stock brokerage, to address Congress, and to run for President of the United States in 1872. The museum hosts Victorian tea parties, lectures, special exhibits, and community events.

This weekend, we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives for their country.

As we continue to celebrate America 250 throughout the coming year, these patriotic touches are a reminder of the generations of Americans whose stories shaped communities like Granville, and the importance of preserving the places that help tell them.

We invite you to stop by for a tour today from 1-4 pm.

• The book launch of Unstoppable: The Victoria Woodhull Story by author Kate Danaher
• Newly uncovered archival records connected to the 1846 Claflin mill fire
• A historical presentation by genealogist Mary L. Shearer

We wanted to share more pictures of all the fun we had teaching 3rd graders what it was like in the 1800s.

From trying out early stethoscopes to the first flip book to holding some of the first pens, a scavenger hunt, and old-fashioned toys, we had a lot of fun!
