Shafer Art Gallery The L.E. "Gus" and Eva Shafer Memorial Gallery has been called the "Gem of the Campus" at BCC.

The Shafer Art Gallery will be closed Saturday, May 23 and Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day as we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

When we reopen, there will still be time to visit Vortex, our regional high school art exhibition featuring talented student artists from across the area. 🎨 The exhibition will remain on view through March 25.

Come see the Vortex showcase now.

Vortex Day will be held March 25, 2026. High school students will be judged and critiqued on the art submitted to the showcase, as well as go through hands-on sessions about fine arts.
