Artists! This is your invitation to imagine a personal rewilding—a return to the processes and rhythms of nature as a means to transcend our current times. We are looking for artwork that captures the feeling of stillness in a prairie at dawn, a shoreline extending beyond the line of sight, a river drawn back into its natural course. What wonders do we discover when we make space for the wilderness, and what inspiration flows back in?

We welcome a variety of plein air work, botanical prints, paintings, flora photography, sculpture, fiber arts, and other tributes. While your inspiration can come from any wild place, this show asks you not to use artificial intelligence as source material or in the creation of the work you submit.

Calling all artists who paint or sketch outside! Plein Air Along the Fox is now open for submissions!

This first-time visual arts event invites you to celebrate artwork created out in the open, with the Fox River as your inspiration and guide. From September 1st-12th, registered artists are welcome to join us for plein air painting and/or drawing within 3-5 blocks of the Fox River as it flows through Green Bay, Allouez, Ashwaubenon, and De Pere—connecting us all through the arts!

Want to be a part? The first 100 artists who register are IN, and will feature at the Art Garage in Green Bay or at THE ART STUDIO in De Pere during the Plein Air Along the Fox Exhibitions, September 12-19th, 2026.
