The Museum is excited to let everyone know about the preparations for a celebration tomorrow! The National Railroad Museum has been invited by The Gresley Society in England to participate in celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Sir Nigel Gresley on June 19th.

Sir Gresley designed many British locomotives including the Class A4, like the London and North Eastern No. 60008 "Dwight D. Eisenhower" that is part of the National Railroad Museum's collection.

An adult must accompany children. Adults must still purchase admission and the train ride – no more than 5 children per adult and no unaccompanied children on the train.

We are so ready to celebrate summer! 🌞 Stop by Tuesday-Friday to catch one of our Whistle Stop Tours and hop on the train at 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM & 4 PM each day! Bring the little ones to Summer Storytime on the Fox River Expansion terrace at 10:45 AM each day this week!

We're open until 8 PM on Tuesdays, and this week you can join us for History After Dark Lecture Series: There Were Tracks Here Once? at 6:30 PM!
