oks” exhibits give a detailed account of artifacts used during war and tells a new story of the personal experiences of the people who used them. By making these artifacts and the attached stories of service men and women publicly accessible, the showcase of their personal history can serve to educate and inspire viewers. The visual aids and artifacts create a living book that “From Combat Boots to Books” uses to help viewers foster a deeper understanding about the experiences of military men and women. It also allows for meaningful reflection and the development of a stronger connection to these moments in history.
