Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame The Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame was established in 2005 to honor the outstanding achievements of individuals in the sports from Guilford County.

The Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame was established in 2005 to honor the outstanding achievements of individuals in the sports arena from Guilford County. The inductees to the Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame represent the various communities in Guilford County and a wide range of sports from basketball to motorsports to baseball to sports journalism. Some of the honorees have been recogniz

ed by having stadiums or gymnasiums named for them while others are recognized mostly in the hearts of the children they coached. Each honoree has left a unique footprint in Guilford County and represents the diversity and heritage of Guilford County. Nominations for the Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame are accepted throughout the year and can be made by downloading the nomination form included on the website. The 2015 honorees and banquet date will be announced on June 8, 2015.
