Westmoreland Historical Society & Historic Hanna's Town Nonprofit dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

Based at Historic Hanna's Town, the first county seat of Westmoreland. Founded in 1908, the Westmoreland Historical Society is an educational organization dedicated to acquiring and managing resources related to the history of Westmoreland County and using these resources to encourage a diverse audience to make connections to the past, develop an understanding of the present, and provide direction

for the future. The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission recognize the Westmoreland Historical Society as the official county historical society.

Something special is brewing at Yellow Bridge Brewing Co.!

Stop in and try HANNA'S TOWN RESOLVES, a Scottish Ale created only for Historic Hanna’s Town. It is a smooth, malt Scottish Ale with warm caramel notes and a rich, easy-drinking finish. It is available right now at both Yellow Bridge Brewing Co. tap rooms in Greensburg and Delmont locations.

A portion of the proceeds from this special brew helps support the Westmoreland Historical Society and our work to preserve and share local history.

The label artwork was designed by local artist JAMES SALBUSKY, winner of our “Many Stories: One Place: Westmoreland County Celebrates America at 250” art contest. His design was inspired by the rich and layered history of Westmoreland County.

You can view James’s winning artwork, along with the other wonderful contest submissions, at Historic Hanna’s Town this summer.
