🔥 Congratulations to Maxwell King on the publication of "Fire in the Night Sky: The Steel Mill Paintings of Aaron Gorson" (Lyons Press, 2026)! The Westmoreland is fortunate to have a number of Gorson's paintings in the permanent collection and featured in the book. https://ow.ly/FhIP50ZFSxp

🔥 Museum Director/CEO Silvia Filippini-Fantoni, PhD, contributed a blurb to the book cover, writing: "Fire in the Night Sky is not only the biography of a remarkable artist, it is also the story of Pittsburgh and the rise and fall of the era of Big Steel that shaped the city, the nation, and the modern world. . . . . . . This book is essential reading: a vital contribution to understanding an artist, a genre, and a region that changed the world."
