The Greensburg Decatur County Public Library is excited to host "The Great War: From Ration Lines to the Front Lines," an exhibit from the Indiana Historical Society, running from May 5 through June 3, 2026.

The exhibit explores the roots of World War I, America's entrance into the war, Indiana's participation in and contributions to the war effort, as well as the war's legacy in Indiana.

Visitors will also have the chance to view artifacts from WWI and photographs of our local soldiers courtesy of the Historical Society of Decatur County Greensburg.

This special exhibit will be open during our library's normal business hours.

The Historical Society has a free Youth Membership and offers Youth History Camp on the second Saturday of each month. Camp sessions are from 9am-11am, open to 1st-6th graders, and cost $5 per session.

The Museum will be open Thursday April 2, 11am - 4 pm and Friday April 3, 2:30 - 4:45 pm for Annual Dinner ticket sales. Tickets can also be purchased from the Historical Society of Decatur County Greensburg website.

Enjoy a night out and indulge in a delicious catered meal while learning more about the fascinating history of Decatur County! ​

📢 Reminder: Just a week and a half left to get your tickets for the Annual Dinner! Its going to be a fun evening of delicious food with an interesting program. All tickets must be purchased by April 3.
