The Cumberland County Historical Society held a fund raising spaghetti supper Saturday night April 26. We served approximately 80 meals. All stated that it was delicious. The donations were very generous.
We had live entertainment by Dick Button and George Tincher. A big thank you goes out to these two. All enjoyed the early country music. It kept the place hopping.
The silent auction was well received and the funds raised are very much appreciated. Thank you to all the businesses and people who donated items for the auction.
We would like to thank all the volunteers. Namely Scott and Angie Justice, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Carlen, Jessica Peters , Patty Corder for working the kitchen. Ellie and John Osborne, John Thomas, Martha Compton for keeping things running, and Carol Houser for all the time planning and putting on this event. And to the Greenup American Legion for the use of their kitchen and dining hall, and Josh Pointer for the sign usage. Hopefully I have not forgotten anyone, if I did, thank you.
We would also at this time thank the following for the monetary donations for the furnace in the Military Museum.
Houser Family, Greenup Mill, Cumberland Towing, Greenup Sons of the American Legion, Greenup VFW, Greenup American Legion, Toledo Sons of the American Legion, Greenup VFW Auxiliary, Greenup American Legion Auxiliary, George Sparks, Paula Gable, Jeanne Crews, Chuck Carver, Toledo Lodge No, 834, Bryan Yocum, Lauren Holsapple Clapp, Toledo Volunteers, Ann Hinrichs, Neoga American Legion Post 458, Jarod Burton, Lindy Judson, Toledo American Legion Auxiliary, Vicky Carrell, and all other donations made so we can keep our museum open and warm.
